F is still a dodgy geezer

Looking over one of the few blog posts I made at my old blog (read below), I had posted this. This is from three years ago and frankly, I found this worth posting again, so here ya go

No seriously, he is.

I just got done with a 5 page paper for my Psychology Class on synesthesia. It ended up being 8 pages, what the heck? I still can't spell that word right without really thinking and I've written it a couple hundred times. Ugh

But seriously, its really cool stuff. Basically, different senses in the brain are accidently connected to each other, which creates some interesting effects. For example, individual numbers could be associated with colors, or, my favorite, different letters could have different personalities. Hence why f is a dodgy geezer. Seriously. I wouldn't trust f ever, I mean, there is a reason the f-word is, well, the F-word.

And s is a snob. Hah, take that s lovers.

Z rules the world. But we can't decide whether its z or zed, because I'm like, 1/4 Canadian or something. Meaning I have the right to mock Canada. You don't.

But yeah, synesthesia is pretty awesome. If I had some weird mental condition, I would totally want to have this. Its like seeing the world in your own unique way. So cool.

And to a certain friend of mine out there.... NO. Giving trig functions personalities is not a form of synesthesia. You are not special. Just weird. ^^

I kinda wish I had the time to play more video games or well, do anything. Cuz then I'd use this blog to rant about said activity. Ah well, that will happen over the summer hopefully.

Let's Nuzlocke Pokemon Emerald Part 6: The Toughest Decision a Trainer Has to Make

Okay so I messed up.

When I went to sign onto this blog, for some crazy reason Google or something decided to automatically sign me onto an old blog I made. One that I didn't really post anything on ever and one that I HAVEN'T TOUCHED IN THREE YEARS. Thanks. Best part is, since I didn't notice that and since the backgrounds are essentially the same, I never noticed it was the wrong blog until it was posted... and today was the day of course I decided to gain some space by deleting the old pictures. So here's what I'm gonna do. Since that old blog is dead, i'll just clear it out and link you to the post on there. That shouldn't be a problem I think. I might also take screenshots of the blog page and post them here as well. I dunno. But for now, linkie:

So yea. I had my first "major" death. Skye I had just caught so it was more of a "crap, that sucked" moment. This kinda hurt a little. I had put time and effort into raising Lassie and now she's gone. I was told that playing the game like this does cause a slight bit of emotional attachment, and they were right. Probably the worst part of the whole thing is that I chose her to die. It wasn't an unlucky critical hit or unexpected attack I was weak to. This was me saying "okay, you're the one who has to die, goodbye". It sucked. I honestly felt awful after it. Really really awful. This really makes the game so much better when you do it like this. Try it sometime guys. You'll see.

That being said, catching Barbados is just great. He's proven to be an invaluable member of the team already.. in fact he saved my butt a couple times already in some upcoming fights. And supposedly he learns Dynamicpunch through a Move Tutor? I can just see it now.. a mass of poison coming up to you and punching you... to the face. Ugh. why do I keep doing that? I'm looking forward to it.

Oh, and a look to the distant future. Rafael can learn Metronome. Yea. I'm excited. Just saying.

Let's Nuzlocke Pokemon Emerald Part 5: Set Arm Thrusts to Stun

Hey everyone. Don't worry, this project isn't dead. Just with work and recording the other LP's for the week, i've been busy. Hopefully i'll post another episode of this on Friday as well, which will be nice and big and will hope catch me up to where I am in-game. Anyway, on to this part.

When we last left off, May had challenged us to a voluntary rival battle. Hopefully I won't regret accpeting it.

Wingull getting Critical scares Lucy a bit. However..

She got this. Unfortunately, this makes using her against Treecko too risky due to a couple Wingull growls earlier. Not the best start..

So let's switch to...

Ergo. I had assumed Mud Slap would do well, but I underestimated how much damage Absorb does. Rather stupid of me to try that.

Gumshoe luckily has no such problems.

Well, you didn't embarass yourself as badly this time May, but you've got a long way to go. *sigh* stupid third gen rival is such a let-down.

This totally makes teaching Gumshoe Cut worth it. Rafael shall be quite a force now.

And Lassie learns Bite. Looks like the team is getting better and better! What could possibly be next?

Oh Pokemon.. where old men wanting to travel with ten-year old boys they just met is perfectly okay. Nevertheless, its convenient, so we'll take it!

We apparently need Flash to be able to see in this cave.. but we need to go to the gym to be able to use it... right, i'll just go in the dark. Besides..

Rafael is the only one who can use it.. and I'm not wasting it on him.

Anyway, a new area means a new teammate. Let's go!

Makuhita! Nice.. I could use a Fighting Type and he'll be able to help with the next gym a little.

Luckily we have those Great Balls to help us out. He was refusing to stay in.

Another Impish? Really? Ah well, welcome to the team Picard... and yes that's a refernce to Star Trek. The yellow reminded me of the uniform and I wanted to name a Pokemon after him eventually just for the bad-assery.. is that a word?

Gah, looks like we'll have to suffer in the dark for a bit.. this is going to be a huge pain..

Holy crap that was close! Darn Zubat's and their Supersonics and super effective Leech Life .<

Picard is already a wonderful addition to the team. This move is a bit risky as it goes last, but its strong.. he'll make good use of it.

And a great TM as well.. this'll be going right on Lucy. No more fearing Geodudes!

This Pokenav thing better not be as annoying as the calling was in HeartGold..

Hehehe.. so good.

After some grinding, its gym time! I didn't bother with Gumshoe or Lassie though.. with a fighting weakness, they won't be useful anyway.

Oh, just what I wanted.. more darkness. You have to beat trainers to be able to see. Speaking of which...

The trainers here are a bit... intense?

Not intense enough to worry Lucy though. She'll do wonders in this gym I hope.

Ambush double battle! Totally was caught off-guard here. Not that it was a problem

Lucy is making this look easier and easier.

All right then. Its time to face Brawly! Will we succeed in getting our second badge? What other adventures await our hero?

Let's Nuzlocke Pokemon Emerald Part 4: In Memory of Skye

Heya all. Back once again with this Nuzlocke run. Last time we were about to face Roxanne and get the first Gym Badge. Well, with Ergo and Rafael along, this shouldn't be anything short of total beatdown, right?

Heh, Geodude... so scared of a simple Water Gun. Ergo takes the first down fast.

And Rafael takes out the second with Absorb.

The special defenses on this guy scare me though. Absorb barely did much damage even with the massive weakness to Grass o.o So its secret weapon time!

Bullet Seed puts that Nosepass in its place. Total victory, and first badge get. However, another surprise was coming as well...

Heck yes! First evolution of the game. Rafael has reached a new level of badass!

First Badge and a new TM. Rock Tomb I'll keep in storage for now. May as well have some back-up TM's in case I need to suddenly make a new member of the team decent.

Hey, its that businessman again. And he's still falling victim to Team Aqua. But wait.. that was all their big Rustboro scheme was? *sigh* let's go get those Goods back and get this over with..

At least its a new Route.. so let's see who we can get this time..

Oh hey, its a Taillow... wait Lassie, don't kill it, what the heck! I need one for Fly after all... poor Skye :(

Another Impish nature? Huh. Anyway, meet Lucy. I have no idea why I named her that, but she's awesome! After some grinding, she pretty much kicks butt and she's quickly growing on me.

Yea.. a Whismur. To be honest, I have no interest in raising it at the moment, even though I named it Edgeworth (since Gumshoe needs an Edgeworth). It'll come out of the box if Gumshoe dies though.. ironically. I really hope that doesn't happen though.

Lucy's levels of kick-ass just keep growing. So let's go and take on that Team Aqua thug.. again..

Wait a second.. he's holding a Wingull hostage.. Skye.. I won't let another Wingull fall! For Skye!!!

Taking no chances this time. Ergo, kick his butt. He deserves it.

We got the goods and the bird back.. and hey, its that guy from that empty house from before. Interesting..

No going this way though, so its time to head back. But first..

I can't help but want to get back here. Gumshoe will just have to deal with having that move for a while.
