Nice long episode this time. Dunno if most will be this long, but I want to catch up to where I am in-game as soon as possible ^^
When we last left off, we just got some PokeBalls and were about to catch some new friends. After all, Ergo can't do this alone!
But first...
Yay, now we can run! Because apparently Pokemon Trainers can't run at all without shoes. Its like a bad Nike commercial or something.
So, we can now run over to Route 1 to catch..
A Poochyena. Hmm, well considering its the first route, that's good enough for me ^^
Ima name her Lassie. Dunno why, just thought it would be fun. And she's Impish too.. hmm that's not very Lassie-like, but ah well. Welcome to the team!
Now for Route 3..
Sweet, a Wingull. Now i can Fly later in the game. Pretty awesome. Although i do have a water-type already.. but who cares. Named her Skye.. because its fitting for a flyer.. and i had Phoenix Wright on the mind. Good ol Ema.
And hey, annoying plot reason why I couldn't go to Route 2 before fighting May is done with his footprint thing. Or he just left for a second. Oh well, i'll just ruin the footprints anyway because I can. >:D Even more friends to be caught! What'll it be?
Heck yes, Lotad! Oh wait, that means i'll have three Water Types... well crap. But its a freaking Lotad, who cares. (Besides, at least none of them are weak to the same water weakness.. Lotad and Wingull can cover grass, and Mudkip'll be immune to electric soon enough :D). Guess i'll be a water trainer.. with a dog? I dunno.
Oh Rafael (named after a certain tennis player I was watching when I caught this :D), you're so Sassy. And awesome. You'll be around for a while.. I hope..

Anyway, all three remaining Pokemon are now at a decent level. Lassie learned Howl to complement its Tackle, and Rafael has Absorb, Astonish, and Growl. Ergo has been good to go for a while. So its time to face our first trainer.

Hey, the city has a gym though, that can't be too bad. First gym battle time? Oh wait.. Petalburg City... that's where our dad is supposed to be Gym Leader.. darn it. He'll probably want to give us some menial task instead.
Yep, menial task. We have to watch this kid catch a Pokemon. And here I was, so glad that the game realized we weren't idiots and knew how to catch Pokemon. At least this time the game tries to disguise it. Oh well, that can't be too bad, right?
